About the position

The Corporate Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely payment of payroll to all team members at Golden Entertainment properties. This role involves maintaining payroll records, processing payroll information, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while providing excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain time and attendance records throughout the properties and provide regular reports to all departments.
  • Review computed wages and correct errors to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Post information related to hours worked, deductions, paid time off, benefits, gratuities, and direct deposits into the system accurately and timely.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial data produced in Payroll, including reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of all wage garnishments and child support orders.
  • Cooperate with the Internal Revenue Service and state agencies by providing detailed payroll information as requested.
  • Handle limited banking functions related to Payroll and resolve discrepancies in the General Ledger.
  • Conduct research to effectively resolve payroll disputes from team members.
  • Prepare and issue paychecks, replace lost or stolen checks, and ensure accurate information for direct deposits.
  • Calculate and verify payroll adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies, and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations.
  • Provide outstanding guest service to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's service culture standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year previous experience performing similar duties.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, math, and computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond to inquiries from team members or regulatory agencies.
  • Proven experience providing high-level guest service.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • Verify right to work in the United States.
