About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Liberty Classical Schools is responsible for managing all payroll-related processes within the Human Resources department. This full-time position involves bimonthly payroll submissions for hourly and salaried employees across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance in payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Enters, reviews, and submits bimonthly payroll runs for hourly and salaried employees for all three entities.
• Maintains stipend and bonus approval records for tracking and timely payment.
• Audits payroll reports, benefits deductions, and TRS reports to ensure accuracy and proper deductions.
• Performs monthly benefit reconciliation to ensure accuracy in employee benefit enrollments, deductions, and contributions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Two plus years payroll processing experience required.
• Paylocity experience preferred.
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or HR certification preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Paylocity software.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
