About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Pipe and Plant Solutions Inc. is responsible for maintaining the payroll system and ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee paychecks. This role involves consolidating timesheet information, entering data into the payroll database, and managing direct deposit requests, among other payroll-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Checking timesheets for accuracy
• Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
• Handling direct deposit requests and data
• Processing paper checks for distribution
• Acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll
• Processing wage garnishments
• Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, and commissions

Requirements

• Experience with ADP
• Experience with CPR
• Mid-level accounting skills
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Workday

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Viewpoint Pro contractor accounting system
• Knowledge of processing payroll in regards to prevailing wage compliance
