The Payroll Specialist position at Lenovo is a critical role within the Human Resources department, focusing on the meticulous processing of payroll for assigned countries. The Payroll Specialist will stay updated on payroll parameters and statutory changes in the US and Canada, ensuring compliance with current regulations. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Payroll Specialist will work closely with the HR Service Center, local HR operation teams, HRP, and payroll vendors to execute daily payroll activities and resolve any payroll-related issues that may arise. The position also requires following up on tasks assigned by the Payroll Manager or Team Leads and addressing daily payroll cases raised by stakeholders. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist will coordinate with various teams, including LTI, ESPP, HRIS, and HRSC, on payroll matters and undertake additional projects as assigned by the Payroll Manager. The role demands the ability to independently handle complex payroll issues and manage funding amounts up to $100 million for ongoing payrolls. Responsibilities

  • Process stock vesting and relocation entries promptly upon receipt.
  • Stay updated on US and Canada payroll parameters and statutory changes, ensuring alignment with current regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR Service Center, local HR operation teams, HRP, and payroll vendors to execute daily payroll activities and resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Follow up on tasks assigned by the Payroll Manager/Team Leads and address daily payroll cases raised by stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of end-to-end payroll experience.
  • Proficiency in Workday.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree (BA).
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
  • Experience with Canadian payroll, stock, ESPP, and relocation processes.
