About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Inglewood. This fully onsite position requires someone who is reliable and efficient, with a strong understanding of payroll processes.

Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Verify and enter payroll data, including hours worked, salary adjustments, and deductions.
  • Ensure timely payroll submission every Wednesday by noon.
  • Manage 401(k) submissions and ensure contributions are processed correctly and on time every Friday.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain payroll records, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored.
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and other related documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Familiarity with payroll practices, tax regulations, and 401(k) management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently and work efficiently within the designated hours.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
