About the position

The Payroll Specialist at CentraCare Health is responsible for ensuring seamless payroll operations and providing exceptional service to all employees. This role is crucial for maintaining payroll accuracy and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. The specialist will handle payroll inquiries, process payroll timely, conduct audits, manage employee timecards, and provide education to promote understanding and compliance among employees and timekeepers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for payroll inquiries via service center portal, phone, or email.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with HR, employees, and leaders to deliver exceptional service and resolve payroll-related cases efficiently.
• Conduct audits and manage employee timecards to maintain payroll integrity.
• Perform data corrections as needed to ensure accuracy in payroll records.
• Identify training needs and provide education to timekeepers and employees regarding payroll processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post high school training in office procedures and equipment including computers or equivalent experience required.
• 1+ years of experience in payroll or a related field, including accurate typing and data entry skills and numeric aptitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with UKG and Oracle systems preferred.
