About the position

As a Payroll Specialist at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. Your strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be essential in managing payroll data, processing wages, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, and off-cycle payments in compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws. This full-time position is located at the Riedman Campus and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule during the day. In this role, you will be responsible for processing US payroll using Workday, which includes analyzing and auditing payroll data for accuracy. You will assist customers with payroll submissions and perform specific duties related to timely vendor payments. Ensuring the timely processing of all new hires and terminations is also a key responsibility. You will address payroll issues and questions from employees while collaborating with other departments as needed. Your duties will also include maintaining, reviewing, and auditing Workday Payroll to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all payroll-related transactions, including salary changes, transfers, and status changes. You will be expected to maintain confidentiality at all times and perform any other duties as assigned or requested. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in payroll, along with strong analytical, computer, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process US payroll in Workday, including analyzing and auditing payroll data for accuracy.
  • Assist customers with payroll submissions.
  • Perform specific duties related to timely vendor payments.
  • Ensure timely processing of all new hires and terminations.
  • Address payroll issues and questions from employees while partnering with other departments as needed.
  • Perform updates to payroll-related information and data and manage overall payroll workflow.
  • Assist with researching, analyzing, and resolving employee payroll issues effectively and professionally.
  • Ensure proper documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain, review, and audit Workday Payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll-related transactions, including salary changes, transfers, and status changes.
  • Process incoming US Mail.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in payroll required.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Workday.
  • Excellent communication skills.
