About the position

Human Touch Home Health Care is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and providing excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries. As a home healthcare provider, we provide comprehensive, skilled, and non-skilled services to our homebound clients in Colorado, with an excellent track record of client-focused care. The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, and collaborating with HR to resolve any discrepancies in employee information. This position requires a strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures, as well as proficiency in payroll software. Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain accurate payroll records for employees
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
  • Reconcile payroll data to general ledger accounts
  • Perform data entry for new hires, terminations, and employee changes
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information and resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes and reporting
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
  • Proficient in data entry and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with governmental accounting principles and regulations
  • Experience with payroll software such as Paychex, Ceridian, Workday, or Kronos
  • Ability to analyze financial concepts related to payroll
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
