About the position

The Payroll Specialist will oversee the payroll process for the organization, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees. This role involves maintaining payroll records, preparing reports, and collaborating with HR and finance departments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for all employees, including hourly, salaried, and commission-based pay.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Calculate and process payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and assist with audits.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
  • Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Workday
  • Experience in payroll processing and management
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems like ADP and UltiPro
  • Strong analytical skills for financial data interpretation
  • Previous experience in corporate accounting or payroll administration
