About the position

As a Payroll Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, you will play a crucial role in managing the payroll program for the 10th District. This position not only involves coordinating payroll activities but also encompasses various HR operations tasks, including managing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), conducting access reviews, and overseeing the management of HR hardware and software assets. You will be responsible for advising on, collaborating in, or leading the design, development, implementation, and adaptation of programs, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives. In this role, you will administer programs aimed at achieving business results while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and internal policies. You will gather and analyze useful data and metrics, conduct assessments and measurements, and identify trends to enable more efficient and effective management of programs and activities. Your ability to identify irregularities or issues in work activities before they escalate into major problems will be essential. You will conduct research and analysis, developing recommendations to remediate any identified issues. Additionally, you will lead efforts to resolve problems and engage in risk mitigation with key stakeholders. Understanding business initiatives will be critical as you liaise and collaborate with HR partners and key stakeholders to provide support in alignment with HR service delivery expectations. You will also provide input into strategy development for payroll and other HR operations-related activities, ensuring that the organization operates smoothly and efficiently. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the overall objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the 10th District payroll program.

Requirements

  • Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Workday is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or applicable Human Resources field, or equivalent experience.
