About the position

The Payroll team is expanding, and we are excited to welcome a Payroll Specialist who will play a crucial role in processing bi-weekly payrolls, garnishments, expense reimbursements, and off-cycle payrolls using UKG-Pro. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is efficient and a self-starter, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will not only possess the necessary technical skills but also bring a positive attitude to the team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that payrolls are processed timely and accurately for various companies across multiple states. You will review payroll data meticulously, including timesheets, overtime, bonuses, and deductions, to ensure everything is balanced before finalizing the payroll. Providing superior customer service is essential, as you will be the point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries and issue resolution. Additionally, you will respond to and manage wage garnishments and generate post-payroll reports for the Accounting team. This position is vital to maintaining the integrity of our payroll processes and ensuring that all employees are compensated accurately and on time. You will also be expected to perform all other assigned duties as necessary, contributing to the overall success of the Payroll team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing payrolls timely and accurately for various companies in multiple states
  • Review payroll data, including timesheets, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
  • Balance all earnings and deductions prior to finalizing the payroll
  • Provide superior customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issue resolution in a timely manner
  • Respond to and manage wage garnishments
  • Generate post-payroll reports for the Accounting team
  • Perform all other assigned duties

Requirements

  • UKG-UltiPro experience
  • 2-4 years of full cycle payroll processing experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookup)
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and operate efficiently under continuous change
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing with team members of all levels across the organization
  • Maintain confidentiality and navigate sensitive situations
  • Problem solve and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
