About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Cochlear Ltd is responsible for the administration and processing of payroll for the Americas region, which includes the US and Canada. This role involves collaborating with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, while also identifying opportunities for process improvements. The position is part of the People and Culture team, contributing to a positive employee experience and supporting the company's mission in hearing health care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and coordinate payroll with external payroll providers.
  • Validate and ensure correct payment of biweekly pay, including benefits and deductions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries in Workday according to documented processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the People & Culture team.
  • Create and maintain team process documentation and knowledge management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in payroll coordination or shared services.
  • Proficiency in HCM, CRM, or case management systems, ideally Workday and ADP.
  • Strong customer service skills, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
