About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Associated Home Care plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of caregiver payroll and visit reports. This position is integral to maintaining compliance with homecare policies, federal and state regulations, and confidentiality guidelines. The specialist will manage payroll processes, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with various departments to support the organization's mission of providing high-quality in-home care services to seniors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process weekly payroll time and attendance, mileage, and expenses.
  • Follow up with staff regarding missing log in/out calls and visit reports.
  • Process approved orientation, training, sick, and vacation time in the payroll/HR system.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee payroll queries.
  • Collaborate with local leadership and other departments as needed.
  • Attend routine payroll calls and meetings, both remote and on-site.
  • Provide additional support and coverage to payroll staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and logical decision-making ability.
  • Detail-oriented and self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian Creole preferred, but not required.
