About the position

Aston Carter is seeking a full cycle Payroll Specialist to manage semi-monthly payroll for approximately 2,000 employees, both exempt and non-exempt. The role requires in-house high volume payroll experience and involves various payroll-related tasks to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Responsibilities

• Review timesheets for accuracy.
• Process separation checks.
• Download tax withholding forms for review.
• Research inquiries regarding payroll transactions.
• Complete wage verification reports.
• Data entry of payroll data to balance payroll to the GL.
• Obtain timesheet approval for unapproved timesheets for prior pay periods.
• Review pay statement account number changes.
• Audit accrual adjustments.
• Act as backup for payroll processing for all payroll cycles.
• Respond to email inquiries.
• Other data entry assignments as needed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years' experience in full cycle payroll
• Knowledge of payroll tax and payroll software
• Full Cycle Payroll processing experience
• Experience with Kronos
• High volume payroll experience with a minimum of 800 employees
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP's.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a non-profit organization is a plus but not required.
• Experience with UKG or Kronos preferred.
