A growing hospitality group is expanding its HR team and is seeking a Payroll Specialist. This role is essential for managing payroll processes for a diverse workforce of 350-400 employees across multiple entities. The Payroll Specialist will support the Payroll Administrator and HR Coordinator in processing payroll accurately and efficiently. This role involves handling significant data entry tasks and ensuring that payroll information is up-to-date and compliant with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a hybrid work environment and have experience with QuickBooks. The Payroll Specialist will perform data entry and maintenance of payroll records, including employee information, hours worked, and wage calculations. They will assist in processing payroll for 350-400 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role requires reviewing and verifying employee timecards and attendance records to ensure proper compensation. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist will support the Payroll Administrator in resolving payroll discrepancies and addressing employee inquiries. Collaboration with the HR team is crucial to ensure seamless payroll and HR integration. The position also involves processing payroll adjustments and corrections as needed, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive payroll information, and assisting with preparing payroll reports and documentation for compliance and auditing purposes. The Payroll Specialist will contribute to the development and improvement of payroll processes and procedures, ensuring that the payroll system operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry and maintenance of payroll records, including employee information, hours worked, and wage calculations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Ability to work effectively in both in-office and hybrid work environments.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data.
  • Familiarity with payroll compliance and regulations is a plus.
