About the position

We are offering a role based in Collinsville, Illinois in the Construction/Contractor industry. The position involves working as a Payroll Specialist, focusing on various accounting software systems. This position provides an opportunity for short-term contract employment. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for utilizing your skills in various accounting software systems, including ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and the Kronos Timekeeping System for day-to-day functions. You will administer 401k - RRSP Administration and manage About Time accounting functions. In this role, you will oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring accurate and timely processing. You will handle payroll functions for various employees, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations. This includes managing Union and Multi-state Payroll, as well as Payroll - Garnishments. You will utilize the Payroll - Manual system for payroll processing and management, overseeing payroll for over 500 employees to ensure accurate and timely payments. Your responsibilities will also include handling all aspects of Payroll Functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Collaboration with the team will be essential to ensure all payroll-related tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Additionally, you will be expected to continuously improve payroll processing procedures to speed up the process and reduce errors.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with Ceridian and IBM AS/400
  • Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping System
  • Ability to administer 401k - RRSP Administration
  • Experience with 'About Time' software
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Familiarity with Payroll - Union procedures
