About the position

The Payroll Specialist will manage bi-weekly payroll processes, ensure compliance with prevailing wage standards, and handle benefit reconciliations. This role requires a proactive individual who can take ownership of payroll functions and stay informed about legislative changes affecting payroll across multiple states.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices.
  • Handle prevailing wage, intents & affidavits, and certified payroll.
  • Support various HR and payroll functions as needed.
  • Complete quarterly calculations of Workers Comp premiums.
  • Prepare OSHA 300 & 300 A reports quarterly and annually for all locations.
  • Process new hires and terminations.
  • Maintain all payroll information in ADP.
  • Take ownership of payroll functions and ensure accuracy.
  • Stay updated on new payroll-related legislation and inform HR and managers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hourly payroll experience.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll (WA, OR, ID, AK).
  • Proficiency with ADP (WFN preferred).
  • Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified payroll experience.
  • Exposure to intents & affidavits.
  • Experience with benefit deductions.
  • Salaried payroll experience.
