The Payroll Specialist position is a critical role within the organization, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage payroll data effectively and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the payroll process. The Payroll Specialist will be tasked with collecting hours worked, entering payroll data weekly using Paychex, and tracking employee hours, paid time off (PTO), and eligibility for benefits. Additionally, the role involves assisting with onboarding new employees and conducting exit interviews for departing staff, ensuring a smooth transition for all parties involved. The Payroll Specialist will also be responsible for reconciling bank accounts to ensure that payroll transactions are accurately reflected in the company's financial records. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, with a pay range of $30 to $37 per hour, depending on experience. The Payroll Specialist will work Monday through Friday, primarily in-person at the Billerica, MA location. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with a payroll service, and must be proficient in QuickBooks, particularly the desktop version. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the payroll system and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
