Troon Corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of full-time Payroll Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring that payroll processes are executed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization. The Payroll Specialist will thrive in a hospitality environment, focusing on providing superior service to both employees and management. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and reliability in payroll processing. The Payroll Specialist will utilize payroll and time and attendance systems to address inquiries, process payroll, and update information as necessary. This includes ensuring that garnishments are submitted to UKG Pro in a timely manner and reviewing all entered garnishments and calculations for accuracy. The role also involves setting up and processing various earnings and deductions requests, troubleshooting data-related issues, and generating manual checks when required. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all payroll checks are distributed promptly to the field and will research and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management. In addition to these responsibilities, the Payroll Specialist will fully participate in various projects as assigned, demonstrating a strong focus on teamwork and initiatives while managing an independent workload. This position is critical in maintaining the integrity of payroll operations and ensuring that employees receive their compensation accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the payroll and time and attendance systems to answer questions, process payroll, review/update information and resolve issues for employees and managers.
  • Ensures garnishments are submitted to UKG Pro timely and reviews all entered garnishments and calculations for accuracy.
  • Sets up and processes various earnings and deductions requests/spreadsheets accurately and timely.
  • Troubleshoots data related issues in both UKG Pro and Workforce Dimensions.
  • Generates manual checks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensures all payroll checks are distributed timely to the field.
  • Researches and resolves payroll related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Fully participates and ensures success of various projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrates strong focus on teamwork and initiatives as well as manages independent workload.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree; and experience in high volume payroll are required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
