About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Infinite Care is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple facilities. This role requires a payroll professional with experience in implementing best practices and workflow improvements to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. The position involves managing payroll operations, overseeing payroll transactions, and serving as the primary contact for payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time for weekly, biweekly, and monthly cycles.
• Manage daily payroll operations and oversee biweekly payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies in payroll processing.
• Administer electronic timekeeping and manage the payroll platform.
• Establish an audit process to verify payroll accuracy.
• Review timesheets for completeness and accuracy.
• Stay updated on federal and state payroll regulation changes and notify relevant departments.
• Serve as the primary contact for escalated payroll inquiries.
• Respond to external payroll data requests from government agencies and auditors.
• Provide support and guidance to direct reports regarding payroll and staffing.
• Ensure facilities operate within HPPD budgets and oversee staffing management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care.
• At least 2 years of experience managing and processing exempt and non-exempt payroll.
• Demonstrated success in incorporating payroll of acquired companies.
• Experience in process and workflow improvement of payroll processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
• Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
