About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Emergency Care Partners is responsible for processing and managing the company's payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees and independent contractors. This role involves communication with employees to gather payroll information, calculating wages, and addressing payroll-related inquiries. The position requires proficiency in payroll systems and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with employees to gather payroll information
  • Calculate wages for independent contractors and employees
  • Calculate overtime, deductions, and all other applicable items
  • Enter payroll information in payroll systems
  • Prepare and execute payroll through payroll systems
  • Process payments of employee benefits and/or garnishments
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and management
  • Prepare reports for management as requested
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll schedules
  • Assist Payroll Department with various tasks and projects as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex information
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with honesty and integrity
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior payroll experience preferred
