About the position

The Payroll Specialist at TPG Hotels & Resorts is responsible for processing, balancing, and producing accurate paychecks in compliance with human resources and accounting policies. This role is crucial for maintaining confidentiality of payroll records and ensuring the payroll department meets the demands of a diverse portfolio of properties. Responsibilities

  • Process, balance, and produce error-free paychecks.
  • Administer garnishments and tax notices.
  • Handle direct deposit rejections and process uncashed/refunded check notifications.
  • Monitor and manage state SUI rate changes.
  • Distribute timecards and maintain payroll records with current information.
  • Attend department meetings as scheduled and perform special projects as assigned.
  • Complete any other tasks or duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Payroll background and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
  • Ability to complete and process payroll in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with ADP/Engage payroll systems.
