About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting principles, as well as excellent communication skills to collaborate with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked and deductions.
• Maintain and update employee records in the Payroll system.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation related to payroll transactions.
• Prepare journal entries to accurately reflect payroll expenses.
• Utilize Paycor and Dealertrack for payroll processing and reporting.
• Generate reports related to payroll data for management review.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in corporate accounting.
• Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to interact with employees across various departments.
