About the position

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing payroll records, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for over 700 employees, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves resolving discrepancies, preparing payroll reports, and collaborating with the HR department to ensure accurate payroll and benefits data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll records and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Process and manage the organization's weekly payroll for 700+ employees.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to inquiries from staff members.
  • Prepare reports related to payroll activities, including earnings, taxes, deductions, and leave.
  • Collaborate with the HR department for accurate payroll and benefits data integration.
  • Assist management in training staff on timecard entry and adjustments.
  • Stay current on payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory filings and periodic reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 1+ year of payroll experience.
  • Ability to manage the payroll function as the sole payroll representative.
