This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely payment of approximately 8,500 employees across various locations. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of payroll functions using systems such as Workday and UKG Pro, as well as managing timekeeping systems. Key duties include the preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and review of payroll reports to resolve any issues that may arise. The specialist will also be involved in producing calculations and processing various pay data items, including bonuses, commissions, garnishments, terminations, and time and labor issues. In this position, the Payroll Specialist will serve as the main point of contact for 5-10 Clorox plant locations, requiring a comprehensive understanding of industry practices and company policies. The role involves working with approximately 20 FEINS and 40 states for 2,500 non-production and 4,000 production employees on a biweekly payroll cycle. The successful candidate will utilize their experience to resolve a wide range of payroll-related issues in an innovative and practical manner. The position also entails auditing and reconciling new hire information, assisting managers with timekeeping adjustments, processing off-cycle payroll transactions, completing wage adjustments, and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls. The Payroll Specialist will identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in responding to verification of employment requests, while also handling general inquiries regarding payroll and deductions. Special projects may also be assigned as needed.
