About the position

The Payroll Specialist role at Robert Half involves managing payroll processes for a non-profit organization in Seattle, Washington. The specialist will validate timekeeping information, calculate employee pay, and address employee inquiries. Collaboration with various teams is essential to ensure accurate payroll data and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Validate timekeeping information for all employees and monitor variable activity.
  • Calculate pay based on hours worked, including leaves and overtime.
  • Answer employee questions, respond to their requests, and provide timely reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Human Resources and other teams to assist with research and resolution of any payroll discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate data between Oracle HCM, Oracle Project Module and ADP each month.
  • Prepare payroll reports such as earning summaries, tax deductions, leave, non-taxable wages, and others.
  • Manage employee payment processing and reconciliations.
  • Process employee benefits and reconcile against payroll contributions.
  • Review new hires and rehires input in ADP against original paperwork.
  • Process employee terminations and separation agreements.
  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Perform data validation and reporting with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
  • Familiarity with Ceridian and Dayforce software
  • Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration
  • Ability to use About Time software
  • Experience in executing Accounting Functions
  • Skills in Auditing
  • Experience in managing Benefit Functions.
