About the position

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for clients. This role involves reviewing employee paperwork, maintaining payroll records, processing payrolls, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams to provide quality payroll services. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review new hire and employee change paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processing.
• Accurately enter and maintain employee-related information in the payroll system, including personnel changes, wage adjustments, and tax withholding changes.
• Process payrolls by accepting and processing hours, providing reports, and coordinating payroll delivery.
• Stay updated with changing payroll regulations and implement necessary updates.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Maintain the highest level of quality service for PEO clients.

Requirements

• Previous payroll experience preferred
• Knowledge of payroll laws and reporting requirements (e.g., FLSA, tax laws)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Customer service aptitude and attitude
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality
