About the position

The Payroll Analyst at Confluent plays a crucial role in supporting the AMER Payroll team by ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for the US and Canada. This position involves compliance with local tax and labor regulations, as well as providing customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be comfortable collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Support timely and accurate payroll processing for the US and Canada in compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
• Review semi-monthly timesheet and absence records for completeness and accuracy; assist non-exempt employees and managers with time-entry inquiries.
• Calculate and process off-cycle payments.
• Provide customer service to employees on payroll-related inquiries.
• Assist AMER Payroll team with special projects, including process documentation and improvements, system updates, integrations, upgrades, or implementations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in payroll operations, operating at a multi-national company.
• Workday Payroll experience is required.
• Knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including payroll tax, reporting, and required filings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.
