The Payroll Specialist at Gerard Sheet Metal Fabricators Inc. is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees. This part-time role supports the company's commitment to excellence in the HVAC Sheet Metal Fabrication and Installation industry, serving the Commercial and Industrial markets in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Southern New York.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage payroll for employees accurately and timely
• Analyze payroll data, including benefits, taxes, and deductions
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
• Collaborate with the HR department to resolve any payroll discrepancies
• Maintain payroll records and documentation
• Assist in payroll reporting as needed
• Handle data entry tasks related to payroll processing
• Utilize financial software for payroll functions
• Perform 10 key typing for efficient data input

Requirements

• Proficiency in Technical accounting principles
• Familiarity with Financial software for payroll processing
• Knowledge of Tax regulations related to payroll
• Strong Data entry skills with attention to detail
• Understanding of Corporate accounting practices
• Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
• Familiarity with Paychex or other payroll processing systems is advantageous
