About the position

The Payroll Specialist role at Robert Half involves managing payroll processing and related tasks within the finance department. This long-term contract position is focused on ensuring accurate payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, primarily for those based in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees using Oracle Payroll.
  • Handle supplemental payroll and ensure all records are up-to-date.
  • Manage garnishments and workmen's compensation issues effectively.
  • Oversee payroll processes primarily for Pennsylvania-based employees.
  • Collaborate with the payroll specialist and new HR manager to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian to complete tasks.
  • Handle 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time responsibilities.
  • Perform various accounting functions and auditing tasks.
  • Manage benefit functions as required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
  • Prior experience with ADP Financial Services is essential.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Ceridian software is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Dayforce application is highly desirable.
  • Must be proficient in 401k and RRSP Administration.
  • Experience with About Time software is preferred.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Accounting Functions is required.
  • Auditing skills are a must.
  • Familiarity with Benefit Functions would be advantageous.
