About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Robert Half is responsible for processing all payroll activities accurately and in a timely manner. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate the complexities of payroll while providing exceptional service to employees.

Responsibilities

  • Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
  • Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc.
  • Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system.
  • Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed.
  • Coordinate with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires).

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a payroll specialist.
  • Deep knowledge of payroll systems, regulations, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
  • A keen eye for detail to spot any errors or discrepancies.
  • Excellent time management skills.
