About the position

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and paying wages and salaries while maintaining related records in SAP. This role involves executing accurate service processes related to Payroll services for an assigned group of employees across one or several countries. You will ensure appropriate support for internal customers and oversee the accurate and timely processing of information with all stakeholders involved in the payroll process. Your primary focus will be on processing payroll and associated maintenance for respective employees, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and distribution of salaries and wages. In addition to payroll processing, you will handle all new starters, terminations, and master file changes, manage the time attendance system, and maintain pay records along with associated timekeeping data and statistics. You will also be responsible for maintaining leave records and related information, ensuring that all payments comply with awards, arbitrated decisions, and consent agreements. Preparing information and documents for external authorities will also be part of your duties. Establishing positive internal working relationships and providing fast and efficient customer service to all employees regarding payroll-related queries is essential. You will ensure execution and delivery according to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and recommend enhancements and simplifications of existing processes and procedures based on your experience with customers. Additionally, you will communicate comprehensive and adequate knowledge of policies and standards on assigned processes as needed, ensuring compliance with Group and external regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience of payroll administration within a global organization with a large employee population.
  • Solid understanding of all functions related to payroll.
  • Sound knowledge of computerized pay systems, ideally SAP, and general personnel procedures.
  • Ability to collaborate within the broader business at a senior level.
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and prioritize effectively and work with cross-functional teams.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with high attention to detail.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure, with a ‘can-do' attitude.
  • Fluent English language skills.

Nice-to-haves
