About the position

The Payroll Specialist position at Robert Half is a hybrid role based in Chicago, Illinois, designed for an experienced professional to manage payroll processing across multiple countries. Responsibilities

  • Coordinates payroll processing for several countries including the UK, Dubai, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Australia.
  • Leads the maintenance of payroll information, including data collection, calculation, entry, check distribution, retroactive pays, and front-end edits.
  • Processes the organization's payroll and compiles and analyzes payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Coordinates with the internal finance team and/or payroll provider for disbursements of funds for employees, benefit providers, taxes, and other payments as necessary.
  • Processes statutory payments and ensures compliance with external and internal policies.
  • Identifies and implements payroll process improvements and best practices to enhance customer service and reduce payroll errors.
  • Monitors payroll-related transactions to ensure compliance with payroll-related rules and laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of progressive payroll management experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Celergo products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems and applicable governing laws.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality as required.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and exceptional employee service.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office/Google Suite products.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
