About the position

The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in the processing and administration of multi-state payroll for over 2000 employees using ADP Vantage. This position requires attention to detail and compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring accurate payroll processing and addressing employee concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Audit timesheet data weekly for compliance with laws and company policy.
• Independently perform bi-weekly payroll for 1900+ employees across 40+ states in the USA and Canada.
• Process adjustment payments, including retro pay and bonuses.
• Review benefit changes and set up wage garnishments.
• Prepare management reports and conduct audits.
• Run and create custom reports using ADP Reporting.
• Contact ADP to resolve payroll issues.
• Promptly resolve and respond to employee payroll concerns.
• Transmit benefits to providers after payroll completion.
• Handle special projects as needed.

Requirements

• College Degree
• 4+ years of experience with ADP systems required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications & some Excel.
• Ability to prioritize effectively.
• Good listening and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and within a team with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient knowledge of payroll tax and labor laws, garnishment requirements, and payroll recordkeeping regulations.
• Understanding of HIPAA and FLSA regulations.
