About the position

Beacon Hill Financial is seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator for a long-term contract position with our client located in Plymouth, Minnesota. This role is designed to be hybrid, requiring in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The expected duration of this contract is over one year, with the potential for the position to transition into a permanent role. The client manages a diverse payroll structure with 25 different pay groups, including weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly payroll cycles. Currently, the payroll system in use is ADP, but there is an ongoing transition to Workday, which will require adaptability and proficiency in both systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in payroll administration, particularly in certified payroll reporting, where they will be responsible for managing 80 or more jobs per week. A strong background in overall payroll processes is essential, along with experience working with trade unions, as this will be beneficial in understanding the specific payroll requirements associated with unionized employees. Proficiency in Excel is also a critical requirement, as the role involves processing and reconciling payroll data accurately and efficiently. Candidates with prior experience using ADP will be preferred, as familiarity with this system will facilitate a smoother transition to Workday. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Certified payroll reporting experience with a strong understanding of payroll processes.

  • Proficiency in Excel for processing and reconciling payroll data.
  • Experience with ADP payroll system is preferred.

Nice-to-haves
