About the position

SunPeak, a nationally-recognized commercial solar developer, is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in payroll administration, offering opportunities for growth and development within our organization. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurate data entry, assisting with payroll processing, generating timely payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. While the SunPeak team primarily works on-site at our Madison, WI office on Ann Street, a hybrid work schedule can also be accommodated, providing flexibility for the right candidate. In this role, the Payroll Specialist will facilitate the processing and administration of payroll for employees. This includes inputting payroll data accurately, such as hours worked, bonuses, and deductions. The specialist will also respond to payroll inquiries, providing excellent customer service to employees, and assist in generating required payroll reports while maintaining accurate records. Adhering to strict confidentiality of payroll information and complying with all regulations is paramount in this position. The ideal candidate will possess an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, with previous internship or coursework in payroll administration being a plus. A basic understanding of payroll processes and regulations is also beneficial. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), will be critical for this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements
