About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. This role requires proficiency in various financial software and a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time using systems such as ADP or UltiPro.
• Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate employee records, including hours worked, deductions, and bonuses.
• Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain general ledger accounting related to payroll transactions and ensure all entries are accurate.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure proper onboarding of new employees into the payroll system.
• Prepare reports related to payroll metrics and assist in audits as required.
• Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record keeping.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes.
• Proficiency in financial software such as Workday, ADP, or UltiPro is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees at all levels.
