Clorox is seeking a Payroll Specialist who will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of approximately 8,500 employees. This position involves performing a variety of payroll functions using Workday, UKG Pro, and a timekeeping system. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and review of payroll reports to resolve issues, as well as producing calculations and processing pay data items such as bonuses, commissions, garnishments, terminations, and time and labor issues. The successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for 5-10 Clorox plant locations, utilizing their expertise to resolve a wide range of payroll-related issues innovatively and practically. In this role, the Payroll Specialist will work with approximately 20 FEINS and 40 states, managing payroll for 2,500 non-production and 4,000 production employees on a biweekly payroll cycle. Key responsibilities include auditing and reconciling new hire information interfaced from Workday into UKG Pro and Time & Attendance, assisting managers and plant payroll processors with timekeeping adjustments, processing off-cycle payroll transactions, completing wage adjustments, and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and federal/state regulations. The role also involves identifying opportunities for process improvements or automation and supporting the unemployment process, among other duties.
