The Payroll Specialist position at OCMI Workers Comp involves providing timely and accurate payroll services to clients while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The role requires processing employee wages, benefits, and taxes, as well as maintaining client relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate payroll services to clients.
  • Process employee wages, benefits, taxes, calculations, and compliance as needed.
  • Receive and document necessary approvals prior to processing non-standard payments.
  • Process and mail paychecks and reports.
  • Follow up with existing clients and maintain good customer relations.
  • Upload new employee information and maintain client and employee files in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and team members.
  • Resolve questions and requests regarding payroll-related issues.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll (MUST).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a structured office environment.
  • At least 3 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficient typing skills (30+ wpm).
  • Familiarity with email programs (Front App).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (MUST).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to remain task-oriented and focused for long periods.
