About the position

The Payroll Specialist will manage payroll processes, address payroll inquiries, and maintain accurate employee records. This role is a short-term contract position based in Atlanta, Georgia, and is essential for ensuring timely and accurate payroll disbursement while adhering to compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process employee payrolls and ensure timely disbursement
  • Proficiently utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes
  • Handle inquiries and resolve issues pertaining to payroll
  • Administer employee benefits such as 401k and RRSP
  • Regularly audit payroll records to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Manage multi-state payroll processing and ensure adherence to respective state laws
  • Utilize Paylocity for efficient payroll management
  • Carry out accounting functions such as accounts reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including time tracking using 'About Time' software
  • Conduct benefit functions to ensure employee benefits are properly managed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
  • Experience with 401k - RRSP Administration is essential
  • Familiarity with 'About Time' software is desired
  • Must be able to perform Accounting Functions effectively
  • Auditing skills are necessary
  • Knowledge of Benefit Functions is a must
  • Experience with Paylocity is preferred
  • Ability to handle Multi-state Payroll is required
  • Experience with Multistate Payroll is essential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with 'About Time' software
  • Experience with Paylocity is preferred.
