About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join a prosperous finance team at Capital Staffing, Inc. This role involves managing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws, and providing excellent customer service to employees regarding their payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record all time from systems (mobile time cards) and input into accounting system.
• Confirm lunch breaks taken on time and 30MIN or longer.
• Distribute timecards to individual employees for signature after final approval of work orders by PM each week.
• Seek approval as needed for overtime work from management and/or project manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years' experience with payroll processing, certified payroll, tax and benefit filing.
• Previous experience in a construction setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable with Prevailing Wage processes and procedures.
• Experienced with general payroll software and laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
