About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Bayshire Senior Communities will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a growing healthcare organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for payroll management, who will collaborate with various departments to streamline payroll processes and maintain compliance with federal and state laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage semi-monthly payroll processing in collaboration with the Director of Payroll.
• Research and resolve employee payroll issues, concerns, and errors.
• Process terminations and manual checks daily for CA final pay requirements.
• Prepare, review, and manage multi-company payrolls.
• Handle all employee data requests, analysis, maintenance, and administration related to payroll systems.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of progressive payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll and tax laws, wage and hour laws, and employee benefits laws.
• Experience with Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) is highly desired.
• Significant understanding of CA final pay requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

• Skilled Nursing experience strongly desired.
• Non-profit experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience using Paycom is preferable.
