About the position

This position will assist with various HR and Payroll tasks as assigned by the Payroll Manager and HR Manager. The Payroll and HR Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing of payrolls and maintaining accurate employee records. This individual must have a strong customer service orientation and great attention to detail, as well as a sound work ethic. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the HR team and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • The Payroll and HR Associate is responsible for the processing of multiple payrolls, on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis.
  • Compile payroll data and perform data entry in payroll batches on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis, in a timely manner.
  • Answer payroll inquiries from employees and supervisors and resolve issues with a high level of customer service.
  • Process new hires, terminations, status changes, pay rate changes, and other employee data.
  • Interpret and apply the company's payroll and benefit policies.
  • Assist supervisor with payroll report preparations.

Requirements

  • ADP system experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Dependability and ability to work outside of the standard work schedule (when necessary) to ensure payroll processing deadlines are met.
  • Accuracy and thoroughness with an excellent attention to detail.
