We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to oversee all aspects of day-to-day payroll for our clients. You will process payrolls for a portfolio of our customers and will be responsible for the completion of all tasks and projects required to meet bureau metrics targets and bureau Service Level Agreement. In this role, you will process and deliver customer payrolls, garnishments, employee maintenance, and timesheet consolidation in a timely and accurate manner. You will ensure excellent service delivery and end-to-end payroll administration while maintaining a working knowledge and understanding of current statutory federal and state payroll regulations. You will administer all payrolls within a set portfolio of customers, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time to achieve bureau targets. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships and providing customer service according to the Bureau Service Definition and Service Level Agreement is crucial. You will also ensure all data is received from the customer on time and all output is delivered to the customer in line with bureau targets. Responding to customer telephone or email queries and taking appropriate action within the Service Level Agreement is part of your responsibilities. You will highlight and escalate/respond to any matter that may affect the smooth running of customer payrolls and ensure Client Notes are kept up to date with current client payroll processes. Communicating and consulting with customers regarding Federal and State regulations and Fourth policies is essential. You will maintain knowledge of current Federal and State regulations through self-learning and Fourth training sessions. Additionally, you will build relationships and collaborate with internal departments to provide seamless service to Fourth clients and perform analysis of completed payroll, troubleshoot data inconsistencies, identify trends and potential issues, and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years processing large volume multi-state payrolls.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities; expertise in building and maintaining business relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of and experience using Prism software a plus.
