About the position

The Payroll Specialist at SK Battery America (SKBA) is responsible for ensuring that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with both external and internal policies. This role involves tracking regular and overtime pay, processing tax withholdings, and maintaining payroll records, all while adhering to relevant laws and regulations governing payroll and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

  • Assures that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies.
  • Performs actions necessary to track and determine regular, overtime pay, bonuses, and special payments.
  • Processes and reviews tax withholdings and other deductions.
  • Maintains knowledge of rules and laws which govern payroll and benefits administration.
  • Reviews and processes payroll adjustments, including retro, paid time off, and other time off.
  • Reconciles errors and maintains payroll records.
  • Fields and responds to payroll inquiries and resolves discrepancies as required.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources or related area (preferred).
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience (preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing companies.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office, especially Excel with V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Good understanding of payroll calculation such as overtime, shift payments, and others.
  • Ability to maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports.
  • Ability to solve problems that routinely occur in payroll with standard procedures.
  • Ability to communicate information about payroll that requires some explanation or interpretation.
