About the position

Basil Family Dealerships is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is essential for managing payroll processes for all employees across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws. Responsibilities

• Prepare and process weekly and monthly payrolls for all employees, including full-time, part-time, and temporary staff.
• Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time, including all deductions, bonuses, overtime, and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee salaries, bonuses, benefits, and tax information.
• Ensure employee payroll data is up to date in the payroll system (e.g., address changes, bank details, etc.).
• Onboard new or transferring employees.
• Ensure payroll complies with federal, state, and local tax laws, labor laws, and any industry-specific regulations.
• Assist in audits by providing payroll data and documentation as needed.
• Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing prompt and professional support.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll administration.
• Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
