About the position

The Contract Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting a client's infrastructure transformation by managing essential payroll processes during a critical period. This position requires technical proficiency in automated payroll systems and strong communication skills to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Processing payroll on a regular basis.
  • Reconciling payroll sub-ledger to the general ledger.
  • Remitting payroll taxes and government reporting.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements.
  • Ensuring compliance with current government regulations and accurate processing of garnishments.
  • Preparing government reporting.
  • Liaising with isolved as required.
  • Working with Sr Leaders to assess for process improvement and efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in automated payroll processing services
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of payroll processes, including payroll taxes and government reporting
  • Experience with payroll reconciliation and report generation
  • Familiarity with current government regulations relating to payroll and ability to ensure compliance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with isolved payroll system
  • Prior experience in a contract-based role, supporting system or infrastructure changes
  • Prior experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements
  • Proven ability for accuracy, particularly with processing details such as garnishments.
