About the position

The Payroll Specialist at HEICO Aerospace is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring quality service for team members. This role involves handling payroll data for multiple sites and states, addressing tax-related issues, and maintaining confidentiality of team member information. The specialist will also prepare compliance reports and month-end reconciliations, ensuring adherence to federal and state wage laws.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll data for check compilation.
  • Interact with management and team members for validation on data.
  • Process multi-state and multi-site payrolls in HRIS.
  • Process salary adjustments, special payments, and tax allocations.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of team member data.
  • Prepare month-end reconciliation for Finance.
  • Ensure proper authorized signatures on submissions and/or changes.
  • Prepare compliance reports and maintain time systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or previous accounting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting or payroll.
  • Multi-state experience with tax & final paycheck duties.
  • Experience collaborating with company benefits & payroll team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Intermediate level for MS Excel.
  • Strong 10-Key data entry skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage multiple projects with excellent attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills to analyze and resolve issues.
  • Experience with ADP Software or HRIS Systems preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and work ethic.
