About the position

The Payroll Specialist at Eat'n Park Hospitality Group is responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and handling sensitive employee information. This role supports the Payroll Leader in processing payroll for a large number of employees and requires a high level of attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll weekly for hourly employees.
• Assist Payroll Lead with processing bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees.
• Reconcile issues with payroll systems and information.
• Perform weekly and daily audits of incoming information for data integrity.
• Prepare payroll reports from HRIS and timekeeping systems on a regular basis.
• Answer employee questions and investigate issues in a timely manner.
• Follow standard payroll processes and guidelines; comply with various state laws and regulations.
• Provide back-up for other Payroll Specialists as needed.

Requirements

• 3 years payroll experience
• Experience processing payroll for at least 1000 employees
• Understanding of general payroll practices and laws including benefits/deductions, garnishments, taxation, and reporting
• High attention to detail; proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience creating reports out of an HRIS or high-volume payroll system
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and use of formulas, pivot tables, etc.
• Experience with Word, Outlook, and Access programs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with all different levels of team members and management.
