About the position

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in handling payroll activities for a large number of employees, both hourly and salaried, and processing monthly commissions and quarterly bonuses. This role is integral to our operations and requires a specialist with skills in ADP Workforce Now, Non-profit Accounting, and Microsoft Excel. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing bi-weekly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees, managing monthly commission payouts and quarterly bonuses, and utilizing ADP Workforce Now for payroll activities. You will maintain accurate payroll records for a workforce of 101-500 employees, handle garnishments, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, you will utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and payroll processing, assist in Non-profit Accounting tasks as required, and respond to payroll-related inquiries while resolving issues promptly. Monitoring and auditing payroll transactions and reports for accuracy will also be part of your responsibilities, along with collaborating with other departments to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees is necessary
  • Ability to Process Bi-weekly Payroll is required
  • Familiarity with Non-profit Accounting is beneficial
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial
  • Experience with Garnishments is desirable
  • Ability to handle Monthly Commission tasks is essential.
